Passport to Nigeria™ New York, October 1st-8th, 2011 Week-long Celebration of Culture, Art, Cuisine & Entertainment

NEW YORK, NY - September 29th, 2011: Passport to Nigeria™, a week-long celebration of culture, art, cuisine, fashion, entrepreneurship, music and nightlife will be held from October 1st to October 8th, 2011 in New York City.

“Our newest initiative, Passport to Nigeria, looks to shed light on the beauty that is Africa by highlighting its most famous daughter, Nigeria” says Solo Nnanna, Founder, Passport To Nigeria & Executive Director, Royalty Lifestyle Group. “Through a series of events, we will take our participants on a journey that highlights several aspects of Africa’s rich culture right here in New York City”

Passport To Nigeria’s signature events include a tour of Nigerian/African Art at the Brooklyn Museum, food tasting of authentic Nigerian/African dishes and a celebration of Nigerian/African music & dance at one of New York City’s most exclusive event spaces. “With Passport to Nigeria, we are looking to be more inclusive than divisive” says Mr. Nnanna “Some of our sponsors asked, why JUST Nigeria? Simply put we are tired of having all of Africa referred to as a country so by highlighting different countries we are educating the world and slowly but surely correcting the single story they have of us.”

Passport To Nigeria is produced by Royalty Lifestyle Group, a marketing & event planning firm. Sponsored by Arik Air, Africa.com, DEALS by Africa.com, Applause Africa, Ladybrille Magazine, Amebor Media, Natsumi Lounge, Buka Restaurant & Panla.
