Hollywood Blair Underwood to be Honored at the 7th Annual African Goodwill Awards 2010


Hollywood Actor Blair Underwood will be honored at the African Family at the 7th Annual Goodwill Awards for his work thus far. The 2010 African Goodwill Awards and Family Induction ceremony takes place at the VETERAN MEMORIAL COMPLEX 4117 OVERLAND STREET CULVER CITY, CALIFORNIA on APRIL 24, 2010 at 5:00 PM-10:00PM.

Other honorees include Ja'Net Dubois, Jim Brown, Steven Cobin, Kimberly Anyadike, Lauren Segal-Avenna Yow O. Adutwum, Ph.D., Apostle Alfredo D. Noble, Professor C. Okafor Udeze an dRalph Gilmer

The eveny will also feature an induction ceremony for inductees Councilman Daniel Tabor, Monique Brown, Jim Brown, Ynez Gilmer, Professor Gwen Marie Thomas and Anthony A Samad, Ph.D.

Event Background: AFI’s mission is to promote the growth and well being of Africans all around the world through intercultural exchange, education and economic empowerment. The main purpose of the award is to recognize achievements, and to celebrate the goodwill and contribution made by individuals, churches, and organizations in response to the humanitarian needs of the African people.

African Focus Inc., organize the African Family Induction Ceremony as a conduit through which the artificial barriers that exist between Africans and their relatives in the Diaspora can be erased. By bringing families together in a very historical personal way it encourages dialogue and interaction between Africans and their cousins in the Diaspora.
