Maimah will be sharing her experience with breast cancer and how she survived it!Maimah is the founder of the non-profit Tigerlily Foundation, a breast cancer support, education and advocacy organization. Since her last feature on Ladybrille®, she has been very busy! Among her busy schedule was a recent appearance at a press conference in the Capitol Building in Washington DC alongside Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz [recent breast cancer survivor] (FL-20), Senator Amy Klobuchar (MN)and Rep. Melissa Bean (IL-8) to announce the introduction of the the EARLY Act legislation.
The EARLY Act, which would be introduced by the aforementioned legislators, helps highlight breast cancer risks facing young women under the age of 40. The purpose of the Act is to empower these women with the tools they need to prevent and fight this deadly disease.
