Recently, "The International Monetary Fund (IMF) set an expected gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate of 6.5% for sub-Saharan Africa for 2008, at its regional economic outlook presentation." Also interesting is that "private capital flows to sub-Saharan Africa have increased fivefold since 2000, and of this, South Africa was the largest recipient, getting some 18,2% of distribution inflows."
