
Howard University recently completed its first Annual African Business Conference. Part of the conference included Howard's 4th Annual African Fashion Show. Ladybrille fashion contributor Mojisola Akinyemi gives us a succint summary of her impressions of the looks off the runway.
Tosa Collection - Sexy and ready to wear
Aashik - Menswear, casual with detailed screens & logo. Vivid and bold.

IDIA - strips of vibrant luxurious material layered over more matte/solid traditional fabrics. Hommage to deceased artist. Very rich vivid colors ( red, orange and yellow). Rich fabrics, sexy and revealing. DAV!D BY Eniola- Formal evening wear with rich fabrics. High shine and sparkle, great use of co-ordinating accessories and interesting mix of ready to wear.
Kustoms Looks - Clean and sophisticated on the outside, edgy and funky on the inside with great use of accenting fabrics in the lining & ties. Suits for work, dinner, church, weddings and hanigng out. This look is for the man that is confident in his business and personal swagger.
L-Shandi - Cute lace dresses with ribbon sashes. Some formal/cocktail dresses.

Wow some of these designs are gorgeous, african designers have really been doing well in bringing our beautiful culture out and tying it nicely with the mainstream!
