Sacramento, CA (July 20th, 2011)- Bunmi Olaye of Bunmi Koko, Michelle Obama Commissioned Designer, is Ladybrille Woman of the month for July 2011.

“Bunmi Olaye is a relatively new designer and the Bunmi Koko label is also new, yet she and her partner Francis Udom have accomplished so much and made Africa look really good,” said Uduak Oduok a fashion and entertainment attorney and Editor-in-Chief of Ladybrille Magazine. “Those of the kinds of stories we celebrate at Ladybrille.”
The Bunmi Koko label was founded in 2009 by Bunmi Olaye and Francis Udom. This past June 2011, the label was finalist at the Scottish Fashion Awards 2011 for the Scottish Retailer of the Year Award. Bunmi Olaye rounded off June 2011 as a commentator for the Kate Middleton & Prince William Wedding.
“It is definitely an honour (to be honored as Ladybrille Woman of the Month) and I just can’t believe how it’s been only 2 years since the establishment of Bunmi Koko Brand ,” said the designer. “I’m very thankful to be getting this recognition while being relatively new in the scene! Thank you very much for this amazing opportunity and hopefully it will inspire some of the young creative entrepreneurs in the industry."
Bunmi’s exclusive interview will be published on the magazine’s website at www.ladybrillemag.com this Friday July 22nd, 2011 on the website.
