For Immediate Release: 2015 OWL Awards Nominees Announced!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 2015 OWL Awards Nominees Announced!

SACRAMENTO, CA (September 22nd, 2015) – The National Association of Women Business Owners, Sacramento Valley (NAWBO-Sac) has announced nominees for the 2015 Outstanding Women Leaders Awards (OWL Awards).

The OWL Awards are a tribute to outstanding women entrepreneurs and corporate leaders in the Sacramento Valley region who have advanced the status of entrepreneurial excellence and community leadership.

Nominations were announced in seven categories at NAWBO Sacramento's 6th Annual Margarita Mixer held late last week. The winners will be revealed at the grand event to be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the Double Tree Hotel in Sacramento.

Hosted by KFBK's radio personality Kitty O'Neal, the event will also honor Kate Resnick-Espinosa, president of VSP Vision Care, with NAWBO's "Wind Beneath Our Wings" Award in recognition of her exemplary leadership as a role model for business women in our region, and the example that VSP sets for social responsibility.

“We are very excited to recognize these amazing women. Each nominee exemplifies ingenuity, perseverance, and dedication to creating her business dream against many odds. The challenge for the judges is to have to select just one awardee for each category. They are all extremely deserving,” said Mónica Nainsztein Rodríguez, NAWBO Sacramento President and President of Spanish One Plus.

The 2015 OWL Awards is sponsored by Chase Bank, Niello Volvo of Sacramento, Barry & Lynda Keller Community Fund, Bank of America, SocializeLA.Com, Sacramento Business Journal, SMUD, KBFK News Radio, The Party Concierge, and Comstock's Magazine.
