NEW YORK, NY, June 28, 2010- Africa Fashion Week (New York) (AFWNY) has a new location for its events! Broad Street Ballroom will be the new home for AFWNY and their guests from July 15-18th, 2010.
The Ballroom has “intricate marble mosaic columns and a painted mural by artist Griffith Baily Coale. It boasts a stylish, yet progressive nature.” Combining the elegance and historic feel of the Broad Street Ballroom with the modern and African-chic designs will make AFWNY show stopping. “When you have such a big idea, you must have a location or venue to accommodate your vision”, says Adiat Disu.
Events include runway shows hosting 21+ designers from various countries in Africa and those of the African Diaspora, exhibitions, and industry networking events. Featured designers include Frank Oshodi, Kosibah, and Côté Minou.
Celebrities and media include New York Times, New York Daily News, NFL NY Jets Safety James Ihedigbo, Supermodel Oluchi and 2001 Ms. World Agbani Darego.
