More than 100 women entrepreneurs from different part of Tanzania will come together at Diamond Jubilee hall for TWENDE (Tanzania Women Entrepreneurs Networking & Development Expositions). The event will be held on 16 & 17 of September at the Diamond Jubilee Hall in Dar es Salaam,
“TWENDE is a 2 day entrepreneurial exposition which features women who own or run small, medium and large scale businesses including governmental and non governmental organization which shall not only partake in the Exhibition but also participate in a two day Seminar aimed at empowering and enterprising their businesses”. The main objectives for having such platform for women’s entrepreneurs is to promote the role of women in national development by recognizing the potential and achievements of women entrepreneurs, including those with disabilities, in employment creation, it shall Showcase women entrepreneurs as role models, Promoting women’s entrepreneurship development by disseminating information on good business practices, Promoting “Made In Tanzania” product patriotism. TWENDE is an annual Platform in an organized professional format, exhibiting their products and services collectively by creating national, regional and international links between women entrepreneurs.
“Women are born entrepreneurs, they need opportunity and chances to develop their talents, so that is why TWENDE was conceptualized in order to put women efforts together, by making sure that majority of them are able to increase their income generation by using such platforms” Said Mustafa Hassanali founder of TWENDE.
Tanzania Women Entrepreneurs Network & Development Exposition (TWENDE) will bring together women entrepreneurs and activists from Tanzania together under one roof.
